Intro to Pattern Making and Sewing is perfect for those who wants to explore fashion in a short period of time. Design and create your own skirt, top and dress.
Choose your course:
- 2-Day Workshop – learn to create pattern and sew SKIRT
- 4-Day Workshop – learn to create pattern and sew SKIRT + TOP
- 8-Day Workshop – learn to create pattern and sew SKIRT + TOP + DAY DRESS
Bonus Session: Learn how to draw clothes properly using a fashion figure template and complete it by coloring the sketch using different coloring techniques.

- Introduction to sewing machine and various seams.
- Develop a simple pattern for the gathered skirt using your measurement and start your very first sewing project.
- Discover the principle of dart manipulations in the bodice.
- Develop a dolman tops/tunic pattern according to your preferences.
- Learn how to sew basic clean finishing techniques.
- Learn how to do body measurements to create semi-fitted clothes.
- Develop your personal measurement pattern block.
- Developing a pattern for a sleeveless day-dress .
- Learn the sewing step for a clean-finished day dress and what involves in a fitting process.
Teachers
Emily Wijaya is a passionate individual both in fashion and in teaching. She has more than ten years of experience in teaching fashion design and her expertise is in illustration, draping, garment production, and design process. Her specialization is in customized evening wear, bridal wear, and uniform.
Ms. Emily is a half-Japanese half-Indonesian, raised in Jakarta, and lived in California throughout her academic year. She graduated from Otis College of Art and Design and had experiences with well-known brands early in her career.
Fellysya Fabian was born in Jakarta. She is a passionate fashion design since she was a kid from her mother who was a tailor back then.
Fellysya has a brand for her bridal and evening wear as Fellysya Fabian Bridal and Couture since 2012 and a ready to wear line until now. For her, fashion design is more than making a dress. It is an art. She also an enthusiast in art and photography besides in fashion industry.
For Mutiara, becoming a fashion designer is her dream since she was 10 ten years old. She went to Santa Maria Vocational School and LaSalle College International Jakarta.
Mutiara is teaching sewing class at MKLAV while also running her own brand, Nult Supply. Sewing, knitting and crocheting are her forte, for her these activities bring much joy everytime she would finish any project.
