Khaki

Khaki is commonly used to describe the type of fabric or clothing (typically pants). The word originally comes from a Hindi word which means “dusty” refering to beige, light tan color. The term was first known in the mid-19th century by a regiment of the British Indian Army describing the color of the uniform cloth that they wore.
