About this course
Create a compelling portfolio through its design process. Learn how to turn ideas into design sketches with a story to tell and develop an illustration style fitting to the portfolio. The student will also learn how to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop in creating Mood board and portfolio.

Creating a portfolio by learning how to find inspiration, creating a mood board, and creating fashion design looks to showcase your creative process.

Teachers
Emily Wijaya is a passionate individual both in fashion and in teaching. She has more than ten years of experience in teaching fashion design and her expertise is in illustration, draping, garment production, and design process. Her specialization is in customized evening wear, bridal wear, and uniform.
Ms. Emily is a half-Japanese half-Indonesian, raised in Jakarta, and lived in California throughout her academic year. She graduated from Otis College of Art and Design and had experiences with well-known brands early in her career.

Our story begins in 2014 when we realized we need to equip those interested in fashion but have not yet acquired fashion-related skills.
MKLAV [read: em-klaf] is a place for everyone passionate about fashion or a newcomer who wants to know about fashion. We provide various programs with different objectives and duration, from a fun half-day workshop to a comprehensive 5 (five) month program. We are ready to equip everyone with a passion for fashion to be competent and able to explore new exciting fashion experiences!
